What we record

We record product names, life stage, ingredient statements, guaranteed protein and fat values, energy and package details from manufacturer pages and product labels. Rakuten retailer pages are used to match the exact product and JAN barcode when available.

Sources, uncertain fields and corrections

1. Identify the exact product by name, stage, flavour and pack size. Use a JAN only when recorded; a barcode alone does not establish that an entire formula is unchanged.
2. Use the manufacturer declaration for ingredients and guaranteed analysis. Match the Rakuten listing and preserve the source URL and verification date. A verification date records a past check, not ongoing monitoring or laboratory testing.
3. Keep minimums, maximums, approximate values and units. Compare the same form and purpose. Do not invent missing moisture or dry-matter measurements.
4. Keep unknown fields explicit. No small-kibble statement does not establish medium/large size. An ingredient not named in the recorded statement does not prove absence or rule out cross-contact.
5. When a discrepancy is found, compare the current source, exact pack and existing record before correction. The administration app retains prior versions; public changes are available in the update log.

How English pages are written

English product names and interface labels are provided to make the catalog searchable. The full ingredient statement remains in the original Japanese because a simplified translation could change allergen or formulation meaning. English ingredient categories are search aids, not substitutes for the current package.

Medical and feeding limits

This site is an independent comparison reference and does not diagnose disease or select a medical diet. Manufacturer values may be minimum or maximum guarantees rather than exact analysis. Ask a veterinarian about allergies, illness, medication or a prescribed diet.
