Official Japanese ingredient statement
Kept in Japanese to avoid changing the meaning of the manufacturer’s label. Match this text against the latest package before feeding.

Purpose, package and exact product identity
INABA Sugoi Lactic Acid Bacteria Cranky — Chicken, 190 g × 4 is made in Japan. Its official feeding-purpose category is オールステージ用総合栄養食; the product is intended for all life stages, excluding unweaned puppies. The official food form is dry food. Net content: 190g×4袋. JAN: 4901133721700. Product code: DD-121. Complete food, complementary food and treats are different feeding-purpose declarations. Match the life stage as well as the product name before choosing a staple food.
This is a 760 g outer bag with four 190 g inner bags, labelled complete food for all life stages. Chicken extract powder identifies the flavour, while cereals head the ingredient list. Meat meal, fish ingredients and milk extract are also present. The manufacturer declares two trillion lactic acid bacteria per outer pack, or 500 billion per inner bag. Those units differ from the 380 g carton. Collagen peptides, N-acetylglucosamine and arginine glutamate are listed here; the carton is not the same formulation in different packaging.
The individual manufacturer page and the linked Rakuten seller were checked on 17 September 2026. The match uses recipe, net weight, code and Japanese name, rather than only the front part of a similar title. “Made in Japan” identifies the country of manufacture; it does not certify that every ingredient was grown or produced in Japan. Packaging may change, so use the current name and JAN rather than relying solely on colour or artwork.
Full ingredients and what the flavour name leaves out
English reading aid for all ingredients, in the listed order: Cereals (corn, wheat flour, corn gluten feed, rice bran, corn gluten meal), meats (meat meal, chicken liver powder, chicken extract powder), legumes (defatted soybean, dried okara and others), brewer’s yeast, animal fat, milk extract, fish and seafood (fish meal, fish extract powder), collagen peptides, heat-killed lactic acid bacteria, N-acetylglucosamine, fermented plant extract, minerals (calcium, phosphorus, sodium chloride, iron, zinc, copper, iodine), vitamins (A, D, E, B2, B12, pantothenic acid, choline), arginine glutamate.
The unabridged official Japanese statement is also retained on this page. Cereals are the first ingredient category. Chicken-derived powders support the chicken ingredient flag, not a chicken-first flag. “Meat meal” and “animal fat” do not identify every animal species in this statement. A fermented plant extract is not expanded into assumed vegetable or fruit species.
Featured flavour, first ingredient and all animal-derived ingredients answer different questions. A beef flavour is not automatically a beef-only formula, and milk extract can be present without cheese being named in the title. The ingredient checklist is a browsing aid. An unchecked category does not certify absence, freedom from manufacturing cross-contact, or suitability for an elimination diet. For strict avoidance, check the current complete package statement and ask the manufacturer about any unclear category.
The manufacturer describes ingredients chosen for joint, digestive and skin-and-coat maintenance. The bacterial ingredient is described as heat-killed; its declared count is not translated into a live-organism count or a promised treatment effect. A product name alone is not enough to identify every ingredient or feeding restriction.
Analysis limits, original energy unit and feeding evidence
Protein at least 25.0%, fat at least 10.0%, crude fibre no more than 5.0%, ash no more than 9.0%, moisture no more than 12.0%. Protein and fat are minimum guarantees; crude fibre, ash and moisture are maximum guarantees. These are not exact average measured values. The reviewed official table does not supply sodium or phosphorus analysis limits. Mineral names in an ingredient list do not permit us to invent numerical guarantees for those nutrients.
The manufacturer declares approximately 350 kcal/100 g. The approximation is preserved in the product summary, search results and comparison table. The package’s net weight is separate from the 100 g energy basis; the calorie figure does not describe the energy of one whole outer pack.
The manufacturer’s feeding directions were individually read from the matched retailer’s package-label photograph. Each row is dog size / age / body weight / total grams per day / daily meal count.

Pregnancy: 1.5–2 times the usual daily amount, divided into 2–3 meals.
Lactation: the label says to offer as much as the dog eats because of increased nutritional needs, in 3–4 meals per day.
The actual label photo is included in the gallery. The label also says to adjust for age, body weight, condition, activity and season. A range is a guide, not an exact prescription for every individual dog.
The percentages include moisture. A wet-food percentage and a dry-food percentage cannot be ranked as if both had the same water content. Read food form, feeding purpose, energy basis and the actual feeding directions together. A fat minimum is not a maximum and does not by itself establish suitability for a dog needing fat restriction. Complete-food wording also does not determine whether a product fits a prescribed veterinary diet. Bring the full statement and the dog’s existing feeding plan to the responsible veterinarian when restrictions apply.
Rakuten sales options, photographs and current package checks
The reviewed sales unit is one outer pack containing four 190 g inner bags, 760 g in total. An inner bag, a carton or one can is separate from a retailer’s bundle quantity. Check the selected option, item count, shipping, stock and actual best-before date before ordering. Price and availability can change. The purchase button uses an individually issued Rakuten affiliate URL for this matched listing; we may receive a commission from a purchase.
Each photograph was taken from that listing and visually checked for store-name and shop-logo overlays. The gallery also contains the exact package-label photograph used for the feeding transcription. The common gallery template credits Rakuten Ichiba. The retailer handles payment, delivery and returns; photographs do not replace the current text and physical package.
No explicit small- or extra-small-kibble statement was verified. The shared site rule therefore classifies this as medium/large kibble. This is a label-based category, not a measured diameter in millimetres or a promise of chewing suitability.
Follow the current package for storage and after-opening handling. The retailer directs storage away from sunlight and humidity in a ventilated location, with prompt use after opening and fresh drinking water available. The official shelf-life statement is 18 months; it does not guarantee that this full period remains when a particular unit is delivered. Retain the name, JAN, date and lot information. Recheck the received product’s ingredients and analysis, and give the current package and updated manufacturer directions priority if they differ from this dated record.
How to use this information
Start with the life stage and feeding purpose shown on the package. Compare guaranteed protein and fat together with energy per 100 g; a lower percentage alone does not make one food better for every dog. Product names such as “beef” or “fish” do not necessarily mean a single animal-protein source, so use the ingredient flags and original statement together.
If your dog has an allergy, illness or prescribed diet, do not rely on this comparison page alone. Check the current package and contact the manufacturer or your veterinarian.
